Schedule your time properly. Make it a rule to be early. It is always a good thing to be ahead of time so that if any unforeseen delays might happen, you can easily get back to your routine. Tour packages may offer you an array of sites and locations to visit but be sure you still have enough time to relax and enjoy.

Be cautious. Don’t always trust anybody. You cannot avoid interacting with total strangers, just don’t be so trusting so fast. Be vigilant, still it wouldn’t be impossible if you can find a genuine friend along the way.

Don’t just eat anywhere. Spot food areas where locals frequent. You don’t have to eat in a fancy 5 stars hotels, a cozy restaurant or simple food cart will do, as long as it is clean and sanitary. Drink bottled water from a convenient store whenever possible just to be sure.

Spend less by staying outside the city. We all know that city living is expensive. Food, transportation and hotels may cost variably high than in the suburbs. Instead of staying in hotels which can quickly put a dent in your budget, opt for self contained apartments.
